No, there is a lot of japanese speakers here on this forum. Some of them have just study this langage but are not fluent.

I'll never be on the japanese thread 'cause this is not a language I want to learn. ( at least right now ! Smile )

It is a point in English grammar that I never understood. Should the verb "to be" be conjugated with "a lot" or with "speakers"?

It should be plural, unless the noun is uncountable. Still people usually tend to use both is and are in colloquial language, regardless of number.

There is a lot of sugar. / There are a lot of people. (There's a lot of people, is acceptable too in everyday language.)

phew ! I'm reassured !

The rule is, the verb agrees with the name following "a lot of", according to Bescherelle's grammar-book.

Ask here to use or/and to add a new natural language

I did it : http://easyconlangs.forumactif.com/
But as expected, I'm alone there.

Est-ce que vous connaissez un forum qui soit accueillant pour les débutants, et qui possède des sections dans de nombreuses langues construites et langues naturelles pour s'entraîner ?
Deepl: Do you know of a forum that is welcoming for beginners, and has sections in many built languages and natural languages to practice?
GoogleT: Do you know of a forum that is welcoming for beginners, and has sections in many built languages and natural languages for training?
Reverso: Do you know a forum which is welcoming for the beginners, and which possesses sections in numerous constructed languages(tongues) and natural languages(tongues) to train?

I should have precize-it: i'm looking for an english-based forum, because it's more universal. Esperanto-based forum could do the job too.

Only auxlangs and conlangs from the most known shows, books and films have a future.

All the others don't, that's why mine died. I understand better Silvano after all, it is a useless waste of time since nobody will care about one's projects.

I know it can be quite frustrating to know that your language is not likely to have a great future. Sometimes, I feel exactly the same, but although your language is probably not going to be known worldwide, there are many people who find it interesting, at least on this forum. I'll miss your language and I'm sure I'm not the only one to think like this...

If I continue...
You choose with conlangs your own colours, it's the choice of freedom.
You choose to fabricate your own tool.
To my point of view, this choice shows freedom and cleverness. As in the mostly asian thinkings way, the most important is not the aim, but the still done way. Take your time, stop a moment and looks like to the still done way behind you.
(My english is not perfect, I'm sorry)
