| Unfortunately, I am not an uberman polyphasic sleeper. And I should sleep more. But isn't this subject great ? Now we can speak with english conlangers. And we can open other subjects for russian, arab, chinese, spanish... conlangers too ( thanks to http://www.linguee.fr/ ) | |

| There is already a lot of places where we can speak with English-speaking conlangers ^^. But I agree, this may be fun.
I usually use Reverso; is Linguee better?

| Interesting graph Sevetcyo! I'm more of the monophasic type, I have a hard time taking naps, I'm too long to get asleep and I feel really confused when I wake up.
Also, thanks for the tip for Linguee, I'm used to http://www.wordreference.com/ but Linguee seems to be a good online dictionnary too.

So am I. When I try to take a nap, I suddenly feel a lot of stress, as if I had something very important to do instead of sleeping (and most of the time, this is not true ^^).

| That's a great idea! Some conlangers may be intimidated by the bulk of thread in French here; now they can make a first contact with us in a language they're confortable with. I'll set up a thread in Russian (here they are http://www.e-novosti.info/forumo/ne-esperanto/ ), despite the fact that I may be the only speaker for now; there are also Polish conlangers out there who could be interested by what we have to offer (say hi! http://jezykotw.webd.pl/ ).
Most of the time, I type next to my Larousse; I only ever use technical glossaries online, like the SIL one.

Oh, what have you done? Is there somebody here who used http : // fieldworks.sil.org (free of charge)? I found it quite non-handy to use. I would like use http : // tshwanedje.com/tshwanelex/ but its really to expensive. Are there any other tools out which could help to create bilingual dictionaries? |

I've heard that the most efficient naps should last 20 to 30 min. 1 or 2 hours is said to be too long but it suits to some people.

Best between 10 and 20 minutes, 45 minute absolute maximum. Drinking some espresso coffee before could help to "reboot" after the nap. Blood pressure will sink during sleeping of 1 hour and more. |

| May I ask you a question, esra? Why did you enter a French-language forum if you don't know French enough to fully take part in it?
About polyphasic sleep (in French). |

Initially because of this thread what gives some background information about Lidepla. I used Google translate to read it. Furthermore, twice I tried to learn French language. Well, I like the sound of French but I'm much to lazy to learn vocabulary twice (spoken; written) again (like English). That also was my motivation to digitize some learning book by one of Interlingua founders (Schild, André). I thought maybe Interlingua could help me with motivation to learn French language again. Well, then, not to forget, because of some Esperanto meetings I know some French folks. Furthermore, losing itself in hyperspace that such cool * http://sites.google.com/site/interlingualingvo/file-cabinet |

| I tried to learn German several times, but I never succeed. Now I am learning Swedish (I have more motivation because I have a true passion for Scandinavia* and because I am not alone): one of the goals is to make simpler my later learning of German. If you have to learn French but are more interested in an other romance language (e.g. Italian), you can learn it first: maybe you will be able to learn French more quickly and easily after that (and if it is not the case, you will have learnt a language, and that is always a good thing ^^). By the way, if you continue your learning of Esperanto, you will learn a lot of French vocabulary.
* : If I know Swedish correctly, I will be able to read Norwegian, and thus Hamsun in the text <3 .

| He said that he is learning Interlingua. (I think, maybe, I am wrong) It seems a bit odd to begin with this conlang, but maybe it can allow him to learn French more easily ^^ I am learning Japanese because I am found of Japanese culture : this is the only reason which explains my motivation Regarding English, school classes made me resent it, although it is a beautiful language. It is almost the same fot Spanish... Fortunately, conlanging boosted me again ^^ _________________ "L'Atelier" alas a bin jerli foromte! : L'Atelier est le meilleur des forums Idéolangues : algardien, nardar, helfina, mernien, syrélien, brakin, nurménien, leryen, romanais. | He takes part in the Esperanto thread, so he learns (also?) Esperanto :-). He is also interested by Lidepla.
Motivation is the only prerequisite to any language-learning, IMO.

I find Swedish very smooth sounding Germanic language. Definitely I like it. I have been there on holiday several times. - Emanuelo a écrit:

Italian seems to be very phonetic but I have no relation with Italian culture. - Emanuelo a écrit:

There's also lot of German vocabulary inside Esperanto, too. |
